The Rank Size Rule worked for the Sapin on a few of the cities therefore validation the theory if only by a little bit. Barcelona, Spain's second largest city, has a population of 1626201 and the Rank Rule Size estimate was 16811290, and as you can see they are relatively close unlike the populations from Valencia and Sevilla. Their population was initially smaller than the estimates. But Zaragoza's population 691226 is relatively close to the estimate of 672451 showing that again the Rank Size Rule was vaild. So overall the rule was mostly effective in prodicting the size of Spain's largest cities.
